International different networks are a way to develop a global network for interpersonal change and justice. These types of networks are independent and sometimes do not have centralized administration. They could be privately managed, and may not really be open to industrial or non-commercial entities. The primary drawback of these networks is the lack of central administration and technical methods, which significantly hamper all their ability to function. Despite these kinds of drawbacks, these types of networks include continued to build a lattice of local-local and regional links and circumvent colonial power design.

During the 1990s, alternative advertising projects extended across the world. These types of groups grabbed the newly available client production marketing and developed alternative networks. Initially community, they at some point merged and linked across national and regional boundaries, marketing greater accessibility to media for all people. Additionally, they sought better access to the media and greater democratic representation. Since the network grew, and so do the range of alternative media. At this time, there are a variety of international alternative networks – many of that happen to be now multinational.
